A study by Kerri Winters-Stone, a scientist at Oregon Health & Science University, has shown striking benefits in stopping or slowing bone loss in cancer survivors. The study tracked bone loss in patients undergoing treatments known to lead to bone loss. The findings have led to an expansion beyond the several types of cancer initially studied.
