While sedentary lifestyles and obesity go hand-in-hand, they are not synonymous. Recently, a 12-year, 334,161-participant study done in Europe tried to delineate between obesity and inactivity as the two contributed to the demise of some 21,438 of the study’s subjects. The researchers concluded that inactivity held about twice the chance of mortal consequence that obesity did. Of course, at Current Reading we have always recommended an active lifestyle, preferably paddling.
