The Oregonian has recently published a pair of articles which wax rather sanguine on the paddling prospects we face in the coming season. I hope they’re right, but would caution you to maintain at least a little skepticism. The reservoirs are low to scant in water supplies, and the future is notoriously difficult to divine. The first article addresses the prospects in general: http://www.oregonlive.com/travel/index.ssf/2015/04/oregon_boats_will_find_slim_pi.html#incart_river

The second concerns the prognosis for the Rogue River, in Southern Oregon: http://www.oregonlive.com/travel/index.ssf/2015/04/rogue_river_is_low_for_boating.html#incart_river
