Owls Prove Hard Nut to Crack
A giant nutcracker in Roseburg, a display piece for the Umpqua Valley Festival of Lights, has had its dismantling put off by a family of barn owls. The owls had nested in the recesses of the structure, and crews found the nest, with six eggs and a hatchling, when they went to tear down the piece.
