Invasive Mussels Found in Northwest Waters
An infestation of invasive mussels has been found in an Idaho reservoir. Is this a good point at which to mention, that with the New Year, it’s time to renew your Aquatic Invasive Species permit? Illuminata Regatta set for December 17
Salem’s own floating Christmas light display, the Illuminata Regatta, is set for the evening of December 17. The launch is set to precede the 5:30 pm start time for the display. Festivities are planned to go until 7:00 at Riverfront Park.
Oregon State Marine Board News
The marine board has issued a flurry of news releases of possible interest to paddlers. The matters in question include boat ramps, no-wake zones, and facilities around the area and the state. You can find the releases on this OSMB page: https://www.oregon.gov/OSMB/info/Pages/News-Releases.aspx
Also by way of the Marine Board, comes the news the BLM has moved the permit lottery application function to Recreation.gov for the Rogue River. The application period runs until January 31, 2017, so get your application in, if you want a launch date.
